Expert Implied ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Expert Implied Chrome extension and the website at expertimplied.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:
- Account information: your email address and a hashed (bcrypt) version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.
- Usage logs: when you run an analysis, we log the X/Twitter username analyzed, the number of tweets processed, and a timestamp. We do not store the content of tweets or the analysis output on our servers.
- Billing information: payment details are handled entirely by Stripe. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status — no card numbers or payment data ever touch our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you and provide access to the extension.
- To process your subscription via Stripe.
- To enforce rate limits and prevent abuse.
- To send transactional emails you explicitly request (e.g. emailing yourself an analysis).
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except as described below.
3. Third-Party Services
Expert Implied uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Anthropic: tweet content is sent to Anthropic's API for analysis. Anthropic's privacy policy governs their handling of this data.
- Stripe: handles all payment processing. Their privacy policy applies to billing data.
- Resend: used to deliver transactional emails. Only your email address and analysis content you explicitly choose to send are passed to Resend.
- Railway: our backend infrastructure provider. Data is stored on Railway-hosted servers in the United States.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Usage logs are retained for up to 90 days. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
The Expert Implied extension stores your authentication token in Chrome's local storage (chrome.storage.local) on your device. This is used solely to keep you signed in. No tracking cookies are used on this website or in the extension.
6. Children's Privacy
Expert Implied is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@expertimplied.com. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
